Silas Transfer from VfB Stuttgart to Samsunspor
Bild reports on the potential transfer of Silas to Samsunspor. Silas was seen in Samsun, Turkey, watching a match. Samsunspor President Yüksel Yildirim stated that they have agreed with the player but are still negotiating with VfB Stuttgart, as there is a significant financial gap between the clubs' valuations. Stuttgart wants around 8 million Euros for Silas, the same amount they paid Paris FC in 2019. The transfer is currently deemed unrealistic, and a contract extension or loan is not an option due to Silas's annual salary of 2.5 million Euros.
Silas, a 26-year-old winger from DR Congo, is presently training in Stuttgart, though he is no longer a key part of the club's future plans. With his contract set to expire next summer, the club is willing to consider offers of around eight million euros for his transfer. Reports from Turkish media suggest that Samsunspor has expressed interest in acquiring him. Nevertheless, his agent, Memet Eser, has stated that Silas intends to remain with the team and will strive to excel in training in hopes of gaining recognition. Transfermarkt indicates that the player's current market value stands at €7.00m, a significant decrease from a peak valuation of €25.00m in 2021. Additionally, Silas has been linked with potential interest from Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV.
