Nilsson, who was previously acquired by Club Brugge for 6.3 million euros from Union SG, is now placed behind Romeo Vermant, Nicolo Tresoldi, and Kaye Furo in the team's hierarchy. Despite having a satisfactory first season, Nilsson is now deemed surplus to requirements, and the club is eager to offload him as part of their strategy to rectify past transfer errors. Nilsson's contract with the Belgian club is valid until June 30, 2028, and Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value to be €5 million.
