Sheraldo Becker has made a permanent move from Real Sociedad to Osasuna. The transfer, finalized just before the deadline, was officially announced after midnight following LaLiga's approval. Throughout the summer, Becker had been quietly looking for a transfer as he was deemed surplus to requirements by Sergio Francisco since the Japan tour. He has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third year, along with a release clause set at ten million euros. Although there was interest from other LaLiga teams like Rayo Vallecano, Osasuna intensified their negotiations, presenting the most feasible option for Becker. The Surinamese forward, whose contract with Real Sociedad was valid until 2026, exerted significant control over his career trajectory, facilitating an amicable transfer. Having been purchased by Real Sociedad for 2.1 million euros from Union Berlin in January 2024, the club did not hinder his exit. Osasuna's final proposal included performance-based bonuses, preventing a potential free transfer situation, and Becker, now 30, is set to play under Alessio Lisci, just an hour away from his previous home.
