Northern Irish centre-forward Shayne Lavery, 27, has signed a new one-year contract with Cambridge United after initially being released by the League One club at the end of last season. Lavery said that it had always been a possibility and that there had been some waiting time, adding he is very pleased to still be at the club and is eager to begin. The Northern Ireland international has 20 caps and 3 goals for his country and a current Transfermarkt market value of €250k.
