According to Bild, the transfer of Sergi Altimira from Betis to Eintracht Frankfurt failed at the last moment.

According to reports from Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt will attempt again in this winter transfer window to sign Real Betis midfielder Sergi Altimira. Eintracht Frankfurt had already made an attempt in the final hours of the previous summer transfer window, presenting a loan offer with an obligatory purchase option of 18.5 million euros plus four million in variables, which was rejected by Real Betis. Real Betis paid less than two million euros for Altimira and intends to get 25 million euros for him.

Eintracht Frankfurt remains interested in signing Betis midfielder Sergi Altimira, for whom they made a rejected offer last August of around 20 million euros for a loan with a mandatory purchase option. According to the newspaper Bild, Markus Krösche continues to seek a reinforcement for the midfield and has four candidates on his list. The list includes Vitaly Janelt of Brentford, Ismael Doukoure of Strasbourg, Raphael Onyedika of Bruges, and Sergi Altimira, for whom Eintracht might make another attempt in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Eintracht Frankfurt submitted a proposal for Sergi Altimira, the 24-year-old Spanish midfielder, which included a loan with an option to buy for a fixed 18.5 million euros plus 4 million in additional variables. The buy option was dependent on Altimira appearing in at least 20 games for Eintracht Frankfurt this season. However, Betis turned down the offer, deeming it insufficient. The proposal was presented on the last day of the transfer window. Despite earlier interest from clubs such as Manchester City in the previous winter window, Betis opted to keep Altimira, aiming for a future transfer that could provide a substantial profit. Having acquired Altimira from Getafe for 1.4 million euros, Betis views him as a player with the potential to generate significant financial returns due to his impressive performances in LaLiga. In addition to the previously mentioned interest, Porto has also been associated with the player, who is under contract until June 2029 and carries a market value of €15 million, according to Transfermarkt.
