Recent leaks, which emerged amid stalled contract extension negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, stated that Senny Mayulu was being ungrateful and too greedy financially. However, in a statement to L'Equipe, Mayulu's entourage denied this version. The entourage stated that Paris Saint-Germain made only three equivalent offers for a new 5-year contract, with no significant progress and no end to discussions. According to his entourage, Mayulu felt saddened, did not understand the situation, and felt as if he had been unfairly blamed or sacrificed.
