Sebastiano Luperto Transfer from Cagliari to Torino
Several Serie A clubs have shown interest in Italian centre-back Sebastiano Luperto, 29, in recent weeks, and Torino is one of the teams interested in the player. Cremonese has also been interested in the defender and has reportedly been trying to arrange a transfer since the previous summer, largely because their manager Davide Nicola strongly wants to sign him. However, after a recent match against Cremonese, Cagliari's president, Tommaso Giulini, announced that as of the previous night, Luperto was not for sale. Giulini also stated his belief that the player does not want to leave. For Cagliari to consider a sale, an offer of at least three million euros would be required, and the player would also need to receive an important proposal. Currently, no such offer has been made to either Cagliari or Luperto. He has a contract for another two and a half years and earns approximately one million euros per season. Luperto, who has made five appearances for the Italy U21 team, joined Cagliari in July 2024 for a fee of €3.5 million. In the 2025/2026 Serie A season, he has made 15 appearances and scored one goal. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €4.00m.
