Samuel Gomez Van Hoogen, a versatile 19-year-old player who can operate in both defense and midfield, has decided to leave PSV after failing to agree on a new contract with the club. Despite efforts from PSV to keep the Belgian youth international, negotiations did not result in an agreement, prompting his decision to seek a move elsewhere. Having developed his entire youth career at PSV since transferring from Lierse SK in 2017, Gomez Van Hoogen is set to return to Belgium by signing a multi-year contract with Club Brugge. This season, he predominantly played as a central defender, making 14 appearances for Jong PSV in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Club Brugge will provide PSV with a training compensation exceeding 300,000 euros. As preparations begin, Gomez Van Hoogen is anticipated to demonstrate his abilities to Nicky Hayen, although he is expected to initially join Club NXT.
