According to Mike McGrath of the Daily Telegraph, Southampton have rejected loan bids from both Derby County and Millwall for their 23-year-old English left-winger, Samuel Edozie. The proposed deals were for the second half of the 2025-26 season. McGrath reported that Southampton rejected the approaches from the two Championship play-off contenders because the club would prefer the attacker to play abroad rather than for a rival in the EFL, a preference that follows a loan spell Edozie had with Anderlecht last season. Edozie has a contract with Southampton until June 2027, having joined the club in September 2022 for a reported £10 million from Manchester City. Feyenoord are among the clubs recently linked with the player. The player's current market value is €5.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In August 2025, reports stated Southampton rejected an €8 million bid from Club Brugge while asking for €10 million.
