According to Martijn Krabbendam, NEC's attacking midfielder Sami Ouaïssa wants a move to Feyenoord, but is still waiting for the first step from the Rotterdam club. The transfer of Basar Önal to LOSC Lille does not increase NEC's willingness to sell Ouaïssa.

Voetbal International reports that Sami Ouaissa is a leading candidate to become Anis Hadj Moussa's successor at Feyenoord. According to the report, Ouaissa has already had extensive discussions with the now-dismissed Robin van Persie, but a meeting with his successor Giovanni van Bronckhorst has not yet taken place. Before a transfer to De Kuip can be considered, Feyenoord will have to sell players. A transfer for Ouaissa will be reconsidered once technical director Dévy Rigaux has successfully increased the transfer budget through sales.

Sami Ouaissa stated to RN7 that he is open to a move to Feyenoord, should the club concretize their interest. Ouaissa said that Feyenoord is a beautiful club and that it could certainly be an option. FR12 reported last week that Feyenoord has made a bid for Ouaissa. It is not known if or how NEC has responded. Feyenoord has reportedly made eight million available and sees Ouaissa as a potential replacement for Anis Hadj Moussa.

According to FR12, an offer has been submitted by Feyenoord to NEC for Sami Ouaissa. Sami Ouaissa has already been presented with an offer and is receptive to the transfer. The value of the offer from Rotterdam is unknown, and a response from NEC is still pending.
