Blackburn Rovers have been monitoring 24-year-old English attacking midfielder Sam Greenwood during his time in Poland with Pogon Szczecin. Blackburn are watching the player, but only if the price is suitable. Reports suggested that Pogon Szczecin paid a fee of around £3.4m for Greenwood last summer. The former Preston North End loanee could be interested in a move back to England, which might see him depart Poland just one year into his three-year contract that also includes an option for an additional year. According to Capology estimates, the attacker was earning an estimated £30k-per-week during his loan at Middlesbrough in the 23/24 season, a wage that Rovers are unlikely to be able to afford. Greenwood has one cap and one goal for the England U21 team. His current Transfermarkt market value is €2.50m. In addition to Blackburn's interest, Wrexham and Bristol City have also been linked with the player. Pogon Szczecin reportedly rejected an offer of approximately €2,000,000 from Bristol City in January 2026.
