According to journalist Jacob Steinberg, West Ham United are interested in a deal to sign Hull City left-back Ryan Giles before the summer transfer window closes. The reporter claims that West Ham have submitted an offer to sign the English full-back on loan with an option to buy, and that Hull City are hoping to retain him. West Ham will now have to increase their offer in talks with the Premier League in an attempt to convince them to sell the player before the deadline on Tuesday night.

A bid submitted by West Ham for Ryan Giles is one of three that are expected to be unsuccessful. It is not believed that Hull are actively seeking to sell the left-back, particularly after an impressive start to their Premier League campaign in which Giles has participated. Hull manager Sergej Jakirovic has publicly stated his position on Giles’ future, suggesting they would only give serious consideration to allowing him to depart if a very large offer was received and the player himself requested the move. Jakirovic stated that if Ryan Giles comes to him and says he wants to go, he will go, but added that the player does not want to go and is a Premier League player now.

Pete O’Rourke reports on the transfer developments involving 26-year-old English left-back Ryan Giles. West Ham have made an offer for Hull's Ryan Giles, and Wolves have also submitted a bid for the player. Giles, who has been capped four times for England U20, joined Hull City in July 2024 and has a contract until 2027. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €12.00m. In June 2026, it was reported that Hull City needed to raise approximately €7 million from player sales to comply with financial regulations.
