Beşiktaş is seeking to strengthen its squad during the mid-season transfer window, has made signing a goalkeeper a priority, and has identified a new target. The club has added 31-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Silva, who plays for Sporting Lizbon, to its transfer list. It is reported that Silva is being considered as an alternative to Filip Jörgensen, a Danish goalkeeper from Chelsea in whom Beşiktaş also has a close interest. The experienced goalkeeper has a current market value of 7 million euros and is under contract with the Portuguese club until 2028. Silva joined Sporting CP in July 2025 and has made 15 appearances in the Liga Portugal this season. He also has one cap for Portugal.
