Huracán is nearing an agreement to sign Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés from Independiente, which would make him the second player to recently move between the clubs, following Ignacio Pussetto. The proposed move for the 30-year-old Uruguayan central midfielder is an 18-month loan that includes a purchase option valued at approximately 1.8 million US dollars. This transfer follows a period where the player lost his starting position. He joined Independiente in January 2026 and made 12 appearances in the Torneo Apertura. Before departing, Fernández Cedrés will extend his contract with Independiente for an additional year, as his current contract was scheduled to expire in December 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €600k.
