The representatives of 27-year-old Argentinian centre-forward Rodrigo Castillo have received an indication that a Bundesliga club is interested in making a proposal to Lanús in the middle of the year. Castillo joined Lanús from Gimnasia La Plata in July 2025 for a fee of €1.7 million and is under contract until the end of 2028. In the 2025/2026 Torneo Apertura, he has scored one goal and provided three assists in four appearances. Eintracht Frankfurt, Fluminense, and River Plate have also recently been linked with the striker. According to reports in March 2026, Lanús set an asking price of approximately €9.3 million.
