Róbert Boženík Transfer from Boavista to Real Salt Lake
Boavista seems to be selling Robert Bozenik to Real Salt Lake from the MLS. The transfer involves around two million euros. This sale is seen as a potential way for Boavista to compensate Feyenoord, who are owed a million euros from a previous agreement. However, due to Boavista's financial issues, it's unlikely that the full amount will be transferred to Feyenoord immediately, as the club is under administration and the funds will be distributed among creditors.
Róbert Boženík is finalizing a transfer to Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Florian Plettenberg from Sky reported that the player will undergo obligatory medical examinations on Tuesday. If successful, he will sign a contract with Real Salt Lake until the end of the 2028 season, with an option to extend for another season. Previously, Boženík was linked with a move to Legia Warszawa and was very close to transferring to AIK, but the move to AIK failed due to failed medical tests.
Robert Bozenik is on the verge of departing Boavista to join Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the transfer process is nearing completion, with the final documents expected to be signed over the weekend. This Slovakian striker has managed to score only four goals in 29 appearances this season in Portugal. Bozenik initially moved to Feyenoord from MSK Zilina in 2020 for a fee of four million euros, but his performance did not meet expectations, leading to his eventual departure from Feyenoord in mid-2023 following loan stints at Fortuna Düsseldorf and Boavista. Real Salt Lake, currently positioned tenth in the Western Conference, considers Bozenik a valuable asset to enhance their league standings.
Róbert Bozeník is reportedly of interest to Real Salt Lake in the United States. The 25-year-old forward is currently under contract with Boavista in Portugal for one more year, having scored four goals this season. There are reportedly 'advanced' discussions regarding a transfer to Major League Soccer. If the transfer occurs, Feyenoord may benefit financially due to a 20% sell-on clause from when they sold Bozeník to Boavista for 2.5 million euros in the summer of 2023. However, Boavista's negotiating position is weakened by Bozeník's contract having only one year remaining.
