Varaždin is set to sign 28-year-old Scottish goalkeeper Robby McCrorie as a free agent. The Croatian top-flight club sought a replacement after selling their goalkeeper and captain, Oliver Zelenika, to APOEL. McCrorie, who has been without a club since July, developed in Rangers' youth system. He left the club in 2024 due to dissatisfaction with his playing time, having previously had loan spells at Berwick Rangers, Queen of the South, Morton, and Livingston. After his departure from Rangers, he joined Kilmarnock and spent the previous season on loan in Denmark with Esbjerg fB. Transfermarkt estimates his value at 600 thousand euros.
