A Bola reports that Panathinaikos has signed Victor Kristiansen from Leicester, after previously showing interest in Ricardo Mangas and exploring the possibility of signing him. Panathinaikos also considered Kristiansen for the left-back position. The signing proceeded after he passed a series of medical examinations. As a consequence, Ricardo Mangas is no longer an option for the Greek club and remains at Sporting unless a new proposal is made during the current transfer window.

According to A Bola, after Panathinaikos showed interest in Ricardo Mangas, there was a verbal agreement between Sporting and the Greek club for a transfer of approximately two million euros. However, a three-year proposal for the player was dropped. The negotiation was affected by Panathinaikos also negotiating for Victor Kristiansen, and Mangas will only be reconsidered if Kristiansen fails his medical examination. The continuation of Ricardo Mangas at Sporting is still not confirmed.

According to A Bola, Ricardo Mangas is on Panathinaikos's list of reinforcements. The club is willing to offer him a three-year contract. Sporting is receptive to letting Mangas leave for a fee of around 2 million euros. The deal is currently dependent on timing, particularly due to Maxi Araújo's absence, as the winger is still on vacation after participating in the World Cup. It is uncertain when Sporting will be willing to release Mangas and if Panathinaikos will meet the values sought by the Portuguese club.

Record reports that Panathinaikos is offering 3 million euros to Sporting Lisbon for Ricardo Mangas. The Greek club is also offering the player a contract with an annual salary of 1.4 million euros, which is similar to his current contract at Sporting Lisbon.
