Remy Labeau Lascary Transfer from Lens to Angers SCO
L'Équipe has reported that the loan transfer of Rémy Labeau-Lascary to Angers failed because of financial constraints. Labeau-Lascary was expected to join Angers on loan, and his arrival had been announced, with a press conference organized. Nonetheless, the move was not finalized due to financial limitations and the failure to homologate the contract in compliance with DNCG's salary and transfer fee rules, leading to Labeau-Lascary's return to Lens. The financial difficulties were compounded by a reduction in TV rights revenues, and although Angers sold Estéban Lepaul to Rennes for 15 million euros, they were unable to complete the loan deal due to these financial constraints.
Rémy Labeau Lascary, a 22-year-old French forward from RC Lens, has been officially loaned to Angers SCO for the 2025-2026 season. The loan is without an option to buy. Labeau Lascary suffered a serious knee injury in December of the previous year. Angers SCO expressed their excitement about the acquisition, welcoming him warmly to the team, as announced on their official Twitter account on August 25, 2025. His contract with parent club RC Lens is set to expire on June 30, 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00m.
