Răzvan Sava, a 23-year-old Romanian goalkeeper, has lost his starting position at Udinese and is seeking more playing time. He has expressed an intention to return to Romanian football. Universitatea Cluj requires a replacement for their goalkeeper Edvinas Gertmonas, whose contract is ending, and has made an offer for Sava. The club's president, Radu Constantea, confirmed that they have made an offer which he believes is very good. Constantea also added that he understands the player might be considering more lucrative opportunities from other regions. He stated that while their offer can compete in Europe, it cannot match potential salaries from other places that could be five or six times higher. Sava, who has not yet been capped by Romania, joined Udinese in August 2024 and has made seven league appearances this season. His contract is valid until June 2029, and his market value on Transfermarkt is €2.50m. Rapid Bucuresti has also been linked with the player.
