Although the defender is under contract in Stuttgart until 2028, he is one of the lowest-paid players in the squad with a basic salary of around one million euros. Contract talks with the left-footed player are to be initiated by July at the latest, partly to discourage potential interested parties such as Borussia Dortmund. Hendriks joined Stuttgart from Feyenoord in July 2024 for a reported fee of around €700,000.
