Raheem Sterling Transfer from Chelsea to FC Bayern München

According to The Athletic, Bayern Munich made a late attempt in the summer to convince Raheem Sterling to join them. A move for Sterling was raised during discussions with Chelsea over a loan. Vincent Kompany, the head coach at Bayern Munich and a former Manchester City team-mate of Sterling, wanted to bring him in. Sterling did not want to move his family to Germany or leave them for nine months, especially given uncertainty about his playing time at Bayern Munich.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea will try to find buyers for Sterling in the winter. Bayern Munich was interested in Sterling shortly before the end of the summer transfer window. Sterling has a contract until 2027 and is reported to earn 18 million euros per year.

According to the Telegraph, Bayern Munich made an inquiry about Raheem Sterling on Deadline Day as a last-minute alternative amid uncertainty over the signing of Nicolas Jackson, but the move did not proceed. Sterling's yearly earnings of approximately 18 million euros are noted as a continuing obstacle for any potential transfer. He could become an option again in the winter, though a considerable salary reduction would be required for him to keep playing at Europe's top level.

According to The Telegraph, Bayern Munich showed interest in Raheem Sterling and reportedly explored a potential deal on Deadline Day. These discussions occurred during negotiations concerning a loan move for Nicolas Jackson. Sterling's reluctance to move overseas contributed to the transfer not happening.

Bayern Munich are among the teams that have been offered the chance to sign Raheem Sterling this window, with the winger set to leave Chelsea.
