Olympique Marseille is attempting to sign 24-year-old Algerian right-back Rafik Belghali, who was one of Hellas Verona's best players last season, and has made a proposal to the club. The French side has offered a loan with an obligation to buy for approximately 13 million euros, but Hellas Verona would like to raise the fee to 15 million euros. An agreement is considered possible despite the difference in valuation. Inter and Roma have also been interested in the player, who made 26 appearances and scored 2 goals in Serie A in the 2025/2026 season and has 17 caps for his country. Belghali, who joined Verona from Mechelen in August 2025 for a reported €2 million, has a contract until June 2029 and a Transfermarkt valuation of €12.00m. In April 2026, Roma reportedly submitted an offer of approximately €10 million.
