His agents are currently engaged in discussions with Feyenoord; however, due to the absence of a contract extension, his playing time has been restricted. Last year, Hartman had the chance for a significant transfer to Chelsea, but a serious injury led to a decrease in his market value. Now that he is fit yet still not playing, there is a possibility that his value could decline further. If Hartman chooses not to extend his contract, the upcoming summer would be an optimal time for Feyenoord to sell him to prevent losing him for free in 2026. Should he continue to remain on the bench, Feyenoord might have to accept a lower transfer fee than anticipated.
