Coventry City, a club set for promotion to the Premier League, is reportedly interested in Birmingham City's 28-year-old German defender, Phil Neumann. The defender has drawn interest from multiple clubs following a strong season in the Championship. Spanish top-tier club Espanyol Barcelona is monitoring Neumann. Additionally, it is said that several Bundesliga clubs are monitoring his situation, and reports in England state that Italian club Bologna is also interested in the player. Neumann, a former Germany U20 international, joined Birmingham City on a free transfer in July 2025, a year after his former club Hannover 96 reportedly rejected a €4,000,000 offer from the English side. His current contract expires in 2028 and his market value is estimated at €3.00m by Transfermarkt.
