Galatasaray is seeking a new right-back due to injury issues with summer signing Wilfried Singo and a plan to potentially utilize him as a center-back. The club is now interested in former Trabzonspor player Pedro Malheiro. The player is a 25-year-old from Portugal who currently plays for Al-Wasl in the United Arab Emirates. He is among Galatasaray's targets for the mid-season transfer window. Malheiro transferred from Trabzonspor to Al-Wasl last summer for a fee of $7 million plus $1 million in bonuses. As part of that deal, Trabzonspor is set to receive 15% of the net transfer fee if Al-Wasl sells the player to another club. Malheiro's contract with Al-Wasl is valid until June 30, 2029, and his current market value is €5.50m, according to Transfermarkt. In the current UAE Pro League season, he has recorded one goal and one assist in 13 appearances. He also has four caps for the Portugal U21 national team.
