Othmane Maamma Transfer from Watford to Sunderland
Sunderland, Brighton, and Brentford are among several clubs that have been monitoring Watford's 20-year-old Moroccan winger, Othmane Maamma. The player has been noticed by more clubs across Europe since being named the Golden Ball winner at the Under-20 World Cup. Liverpool, Man Utd, and Newcastle also scouted him during a recent 3-0 victory over Birmingham, which was not the first time they have watched him. Watford, who signed Maamma from Montpellier for under £1 million in the summer, are not planning a January sale but might not refuse an offer if it represented a significant profit. Maamma, who has 28 caps and 5 goals for Morocco's U20 side, has a contract with Watford until June 2029. In the current Championship season, he has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 12 appearances. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €1.30m.
