Citing several sources, Germanijak reports that Rijeka is working to sign Oliver Zelenika, the 33-year-old captain of Varaždin who is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the HNL. While the transfer is not yet finalized, it appears to be moving towards completion. Rijeka is also reportedly considering an alternative option, a Serbian goalkeeper whose name is not currently public. Zelenika, a Croatian national, has been with Varaždin since February 2020, and his contract is valid until May 2027. The goalkeeper made 32 appearances in the SuperSport HNL during the 2025/2026 season and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €300k.
