Varaždin's 33-year-old Croatian captain, Oliver Zelenika, has requested a transfer from the club, where his contract is valid until the end of the season. Although there were rumors of a possible return to Dinamo, indications are that he will continue his career in Cyprus. Zelenika has been offered to APOEL, with the interest reported to be serious. The goalkeeper, who joined Varaždin in February 2020, is noted for his ability to participate in building up play. He has not been capped for the Croatian national team.
