Victor Angelescu stated on Prima Sport 1 that Gigi Becali made an offer and wanted to acquire Olimpiu Moruțan for FCSB. Angelescu rhetorically questioned why Becali would want Moruțan if he believed the player had medical problems. Angelescu said that at the medical examination, Moruțan underwent additional tests and performed very well, including physically.

According to Sport.ro, Olimpiu Moruțan received an offer from FCSB and a recommendation from his agent Florin Vulturar to return to his former club, but he has made a different decision. Discussions were held about the possibility of a return. Moruțan said he wanted to terminate his contract with Aris.

Romanian winger Olimpiu Moruțan is expected to leave Aris this winter and return to the Superliga. He has received offers from both Rapid and his former team, FCSB. Despite the interest from FCSB, Rapid is very close to signing the 26-year-old. Moruțan has made 12 appearances in the Super League 1 this season for the Greek club, which he joined in July 2025.
