Slavia Prague has signed Oleksandr Petrenko, a young goalkeeper who has represented Ukraine at all youth levels. Petrenko, who has experience from Bundesliga's Bayer Leverkusen and was on a half-year loan at Viktoria Kolín nad Rýnem, expressed his delight in joining Slavia Prague. He conveyed to the club's website that he was very happy to have signed with such a big club and was looking forward to the future. He aims to debut for Slavia's first team but will initially train with the reserve team. Petrenko has already played a friendly match for the reserves and is enthusiastic about experiencing Czech football and the local atmosphere. He has also witnessed Slavia's passionate fanbase during a match against Dresden, describing the experience as incredible and full of emotions. During his time with Bayer Leverkusen's under-19 team, Petrenko played 25 matches and kept seven clean sheets, showcasing his potential as a promising goalkeeper.
