Feyenoord has shown interest in 21-year-old Atlético Madrid midfielder Obed Vargas, according to journalist César Luis Merlo. The Madrid-based club is looking to loan out the player this summer so he can gain regular playing time and further his development. Feyenoord is one of the foreign clubs interested, but it faces significant competition from within Spain. Getafe, Valencia, Deportivo Alavés, and Sevilla have all reportedly made concrete offers. Vargas, a Mexican international with nine caps, joined Atlético in February 2026 and has a contract that runs until 2030. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €10.00m.
