Nino leaving Zenit?
According to a report from ESPN Brasil, Zenit is ready to negotiate the sale of Brazilian footballer Nino. A main reason for Nino's potential departure from Zenit is concern for his son, who has Down syndrome.
According to ESPN, Zenit is willing to negotiate the transfer of Nino during the next transfer window in order to create a spot for a foreign player in their squad. This decision is part of the club's strategy to invest in young South American players who could yield future financial returns. Nino is not contemplating a return to Brazil, as the player and his staff intend to remain in European football. A personal issue concerning his son, Antonio, is also a factor in the potential departure.
Nino wants to continue his career outside of Russia, with priority to find a club by the winter transfer window. He is interested in clubs in England, Italy, France, Spain, or Portugal.
Portuguese agent Paulo Barbosa responded to Zenit defender Nino's inclusion in FIFA's list of candidates for the best defender of 2024. Barbosa remarked that Nino's nomination serves as a significant argument for Zenit and highlighted that the interest from top European clubs is likely to rise considerably following this nomination. Barbosa also expressed his belief that Nino is deserving of playing at the level of top European clubs.
