Nile John Transfer from Feirense to Moreirense
Moreirense announced the signing of 22-year-old English midfielder Nile John from Liga 2 club Feirense on a three-and-a-half-year contract that runs until the end of the 2028/29 season. The transfer was made to reinforce the team's midfield after Vasco Sousa sustained a serious injury and Lawrence Ofori moved to Casa Pia. John, who has been capped seven times for England at U19 level and developed at Tottenham, made 18 appearances for Feirense this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Moreirense coach Vasco Botelho da Costa described the new signing as a high-quality player who fits the club's project well. The coach added that John spent 14 years in Tottenham's academy. He also highlighted that the midfielder will bring different capabilities to the team, particularly in the final third, and expressed confidence that his prior experience in Portuguese football would result in a quicker integration. His current market value is estimated to be €350k, according to Transfermarkt.
