According to Corriere dello Sport, Bologna is considering Nikolas Sattlberger of Genk as an alternative target.

According to Pietro Celeste, Nikolas Sattlberger of RC Genk is also reportedly a player of interest to Bologna.

Austrian defensive midfielder Nikolas Sattlberger, 22, of KRC Genk is on a shortlist of transfer targets for Bologna, which has recently appointed Domenico Tedesco as its coach. He joined Genk in August 2024 and his contract runs until 2029. Sattlberger has been capped 20 times for the Austria U21 team. In the 2025/2026 domestic league season, he made 26 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.20m.
