Nicolás Freire, a 32-year-old Argentinian-Spanish Centre-Back, is set to be a new signing for Libertad, and the deal is considered complete. He is expected to terminate his contract with Independiente in the coming hours and will subsequently sign a one-year contract with his new club. Freire is currently on loan at Independiente from Mexican club UNAM Pumas. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €300k.
