Nicolás Castro is not in the consideration of Atlético Tucumán's technical staff and is training at different times from the main squad. He is expected to leave the club soon, with San Martín de Tucumán showing interest in acquiring him. The leadership and technical staff at San Martín believe Castro would be an important reinforcement for the second half of the Primera Nacional. This would be Castro's second stint with San Martín, having played for them in the 2019/20 season.
