German goalkeeper Niclas Thiede has joined newly promoted ADO Den Haag from VfL Bochum, signing a two-year contract. The 27-year-old was brought in as the club was looking for a competitor for Kilian Nikiema. Technical director Mark Wotte stated that Thiede has the qualities they were seeking and brings experience from German professional football. Wotte also mentioned that the goalkeeper is a good fit for the style of play that coach Robin Peter envisions and that his arrival will add quality to the goalkeeping group. Thiede has two caps for Germany's U20 team. His current market value is €350k, according to Transfermarkt.
