Nicholas Pierini, a 28-year-old Italian winger for Sassuolo, does not appear to have a future with the club and is the subject of interest from several teams, including Cremonese. The player is in the final year of his contract, which Sassuolo does not intend to renew. Padova, Benevento, and Avellino are also reportedly interested in him. The online edition of the Corriere Romagna reports that Sassuolo might be willing to release Pierini's registration for free on the condition that a new club pays his entire salary, which is approximately €1.1 million a year. Pierini, who has three caps for the Italy U19 team, recently returned from a loan at Sampdoria that ended in June 2026. That loan included a €1 million purchase option that Sampdoria was reportedly prepared to activate in April 2026. His current market value is €1.60m, according to Transfermarkt.
