It was previously thought there was a strong likelihood of Neto Borges leaving again this summer, and there is outside interest in the Brazilian before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Although it had been expected that Neto Borges would be leaving Middlesbrough this summer, manager Kim Hellberg has hinted that the defender will be remaining with the club beyond the end of the transfer window. Hellberg stated he is happy that Borges is at the club. The player's defensive versatility has already proved useful. Borges has entered the final year of his contract, and Middlesbrough will have to consider any attractive offer that is made in the next three weeks as this is the last opportunity to receive a fee for the Brazilian.

Currently, Neto Borges is likely to return to Middlesbrough in the summer, at which point he will have 12 months remaining on his contract. Middlesbrough are highly likely to attempt to transfer Neto Borges, irrespective of the division they are in.
