Nelson Deossa, a 26-year-old Colombian midfielder, is of interest to América manager Guillermo Almada, who previously worked with the player at Real Oviedo. Deossa is considered a priority to reinforce the midfield, a position affected by the departure of Jonathan dos Santos and the probable exits of Vinícius Lima and Rodrigo Dourado. While Deossa has a contract with Real Betis until 2030, he is contemplating leaving due to a lack of opportunities, having made 20 appearances in LaLiga during the 2025/2026 season. Although América is considered a great destination for him, he also has offers from clubs in Brazil and Argentina. River Plate, Vasco da Gama, and Flamengo are among the clubs recently linked with him. In June 2026, Real Betis reportedly set an asking price of €10 million.
