There were Porto representatives watching 21-year-old Colombian Atlético Nacional defender Néider Parra at the Atanasio stadium during a match against Junior. Scouts from Ajax and Palmeiras were also present. Julián Capera had previously stated that scouts from Premier League and Serie A clubs were at the game, with Brighton and Bournemouth among the English teams specifically observing the player.
