Nathanaël Mbuku Transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to Montpellier
Index.hr has reported on Nathanael Mbuku's upcoming transfer to Montpellier, stating that he has passed a medical examination and is expected to be presented as a new player for the club. The agreement, which involves Augsburg, Dinamo, and Montpellier, includes Mbuku joining the French club on a one-year loan with an option to buy for 1.8 million euros. Montpellier reportedly accelerated negotiations to outpace competition from other French clubs such as Metz. It was highlighted that Coach Zoumana Camara played a crucial role in persuading Mbuku to join the club's project. Montpellier is aiming to build a strong team to secure a return to Ligue 1 after being relegated to Ligue 2.
Nathanaël Mbuku is expected to sign with Montpellier as he is scheduled for a medical examination at the beginning of the week. The transfer will be a loan with an option to buy. Mbuku was convinced by Zoumana Camara about the Montpellier project. He will leave Dinamo Zagreb and return to France, having previously been formed at Stade de Reims and having a stint at Augsburg in Germany.
According to reports from French media, Montpellier is showing interest in Nathanael Mbuku. Last season, Montpellier ended up at the bottom of Ligue 1, resulting in their relegation to the second division. The 23-year-old French forward, who is currently with Dinamo, has found his playing time limited, having made 20 appearances and scoring two goals along with providing one assist. While specific details of a potential transfer have not been disclosed, Transfermarkt estimates Mbuku's market value at one million euros. Considering Dinamo's ongoing restructuring of their squad, which has led to the departure of 14 players under the leadership of President Zvonimir Boban, Mbuku might be among those to leave next. His contract with Dinamo, valid until 2027, contains a clause that permits a return to Augsburg, the club from which he was originally acquired for 400,000 euros. This clause allows Dinamo to send him back to Augsburg and receive 200,000 euros, making his potential transfer a realistic possibility.
