Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım has initiated a move for Manchester City's 31-year-old defender, Nathan Aké. Associates of Yıldırım have made initial contact with the player's management company and also informed Aké about Fenerbahçe's interest. Negotiations are also understood to have commenced with Manchester City's management, and Aké is reportedly among the players expected to leave the club.
