Ernest Faber, coach and technical director of Heracles Almelo, confirmed on Sunday at ESPN that the club is working on the arrival of Naci Ünuvar. Hans Kraay Jr. asked Faber if it is true that Naci Ünuvar is on his way to Heracles Almelo. Faber replied that Ünuvar lives nearby and that this is nice. Faber further said that they are considering all options to strengthen themselves further. Hans Kraay Jr. said that he has the information that Ünuvar is on his way to them. Faber replied that it would be nice and that Ünuvar is welcome. He stated that they are in talks with various players, but could only give certainty once everything is signed, adding that this was all he could say for now. Ünüvar joined Twente Enschede FC in January 2025 and has a contract that runs until June 2028. The dual Dutch-Turkish national has made 8 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, scoring 2 goals, and has one cap for the Türkiye U21 team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.50m.
