ESTAC Troyes expressed interest in Mostafa Ahmed Shobeir, a 26-year-old Egyptian goalkeeper for Al Ahly. Other European clubs have also shown attention, including a proposal from a Czech team and a bid from FC Nordsjælland, which was estimated at $2.5 million and reportedly rejected by the club. This interest led Shobeir to request a $2 million release clause during contract extension talks with Al Ahly, a condition the Egyptian club also rejected. The goalkeeper has 15 caps for Egypt, joined Al Ahly in September 2019, and is under contract until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.00m.
