Mohammad Abu Fani Transfer from Ferencváros to CSKA Moskva

In late July, Israeli media reported that Mohammed Abu Fani, who has been with Ferencváros since 2023, might continue his career at Russian top-flight club CSKA Moscow, despite interest from Maccabi Haifa, his home country club. It was said that Ferencváros was willing to let him go for about 3-3.5 million euros. Both the player and the club were keen to secure a new team for him by the end of the transfer window, but as the window has now closed, he remains at Ferencváros. Throughout the summer, Abu Fani was keen to leave Ferencváros, and although he was not listed in the Champions League and Europa League qualifier squads, no agreement was reached. His friend, Musza Diab, mentioned that Abu Fani had told Maccabi Haifa a month earlier that he wanted to stay in Europe. However, the first serious offer from them was only made two days before the window closed. It was reported that Ferencváros had set a high price, which interested clubs could not meet, and now there is an expectation that his price might decrease by January. Abu Fani remains in good shape, fully participating in training with the squad, but has not yet played in any of the club's 11 matches this season.
