West Ham are described as a "strong contender" to sign 20-year-old Argentinian defensive midfielder Milton Delgado. The Premier League club is reportedly preparing a move that has caused what is described as 'alarms' at Boca Juniors. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is said to be the leading party in pursuing the player, who has also attracted interest from West Ham's London rivals Chelsea. Chelsea are also reportedly considering a move for him, while Manchester United have been interested in the past. Although Boca Juniors have not yet received a formal offer from any club, there is a growing expectation that a proposal is imminent. Delgado joined the club in January 2024, has 20 caps for Argentina U20, and is under contract until December 2028 with a release clause set at £11 million (€12.7 million). His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €6.00m. Boca Juniors are seeking a figure close to that valuation to approve his sale, and West Ham appear ready to challenge their position.
