Wieczysta Kraków is close to finalizing a deal for Cracovia's 30-year-old Danish midfielder, Mikkel Maigaard. It is reported that the transfer is being settled in Turkey, where Polish teams are in preparation for the second half of the season. Maigaard's contract with Cracovia expires on June 30, and it is understood that he has received an excellent financial offer from Wieczysta. Although Cracovia's coach, Luka Elsner, had indicated several months ago that talks were in progress to extend the player's contract, a different outcome now seems probable. The clubs have not yet fully agreed on the transfer fee, which is anticipated to be approximately 300,000 euros. Maigaard joined Cracovia in February 2024 and has made 18 appearances in the Ekstraklasa this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He has 10 caps and two goals for the Denmark U19 team, and his current market value according to Transfermarkt is €800k.
