Spanish attacking midfielder Mikel Goti, 24, has joined Real Oviedo on loan from Real Sociedad. The loan agreement does not include a purchase option, a detail that MD reported earlier in the day. Both clubs made the transfer official during the final hours of the transfer window. Real Sociedad had been unwilling to consider a permanent sale. Goti has a contract with Real Sociedad until 2028 and did not train on Tuesday because he had already decided to leave and was waiting for the agreement to be finalized. The decision was made quickly, as leaving the club on loan had reportedly not been an option for Goti until the previous day. He was seeking more importance and continuity, which he was not expected to receive at Real Sociedad under coach Matarazzo, who had left him out of matchday squads. This situation surprised the player, and when combined with the project offered by Oviedo, it convinced him to leave. Goti joined Real Sociedad in July 2025.
